Canadian conductor and composer Patrick Murray is a multi-faceted choral artist whose musical work reveals an equal commitment to high-calibre performance, education, and community engagement.
Currently, as Director of Music at Church of St. John the Evangelist in Elora, ON, Murray directs one of Canada’s only fully-professional church choirs. Additionally, Murray serves as Artistic Director of Chor Amica, Director of the University of Toronto Scarborough Concert Choir, and President-Elect of Choirs Ontario. Matthew Pope, collaborative pianistMatthew Pope is a solo and collaborative pianist, adjudicator, and educator in London, ON. Matthew holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Solo Piano from The University of Western Ontario, and is also an avid performer as a harpsichordist and organist. He has performed as a soloist and/or ensemble player with numerous groups in the GTA, including the Georgetown Bach Chorale, the Bach Elgar Choir (Hamilton, ON), the Masterworks of Oakville Choir, the Oakville Chamber Orchestra, the Mississauga Chamber Sings, and the Brampton Symphony Orchestra, and Chor Amica, Kammerchor London, and Magisterra Soloists in London, ON. In addition, Matthew maintains a large private studio, is President for the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Associations’s London Branch, and has recently been appointed the new Director of Music for St John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Strathroy, ON.
