Grant Us Peace

Ralph Vaughan Williams' seminal post-WWI masterwork Dona nobis pacem, in its version for strings and piano, alongside Ola Gjeilo's rapturous Dark Night of the Soul and other choral works of peace and comfort. Performed with string quintet and piano.

American composer Robert Cohen's recent oratorio draws from real-life interviews to explore the experiences of those living with Alzheimer's dementia as well as their caregivers. Dr. Jessica Grahn from Western University's Brain and Mind Institute joins us for a pre-concert talk on the emerging science of how music is helping those with dementia and other degenerative neurological conditions.
